100% Volunteer based!
Who Are We
We are 100% volunteers making a difference in the lives of those that suffer from Nephrotic Syndrome.
To raise money for NephCure Kidney International, whose mission is to accelerate research for effective treatments for rare forms of Nephrotic Syndrome, and to provide education and support that will improve the lives of those affected by these protein-spilling kidney diseases.
Christian Jones was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome when he was two years old. In 2010, after a serious relapse, his mom, Kara Jones, began a grassroots effort to raise money to find a cure by organizing the annual Bay Area NephCure Walk. Supported by a group of committed friends and other patient families, they have raised over $800,000+ with all proceeds benefiting NephCure Kidney International (NKI), the only organization committed to finding a cure for Nephrotic Syndrome. Leveraging on the success of the Bay Area NephCure Walk, in 2018, this committed group hosted the first Silicon Valley Pig Jig!
We hope you can join us for the third annual Pig Jig at Excite Ballpark (formerly San Jose Giants Muni Stadium) on Saturday, October 2nd 2021.
