What is Pig Jig?
The Silicon Valley Pig Jig is a private event celebrating our corporate sponsors and their guests. The day’s events will include live music, a craft beer garden, family friendly activities and games in a tailgate like environment. In addition, corporate sponsors participate in a friendly amateur BBQ competition where they a chance to win accolades and bragging rights in four categories (ribs, tri-tip, wildcard and best tailgate)! All proceeds benefit NephCure Kidney International whose mission is to accelerate research for effective treatments for rare forms of Nephrotic Syndrome, and to provide education and support that will improve the lives of those affected by these protein-spilling kidney diseases.
The Silicon Valley Pig Jig was started in San Jose in 2018 by a group of local and dedicated friends who wanted to make a difference in the lives of those that suffer from Nephrotic Syndrome. That first event was a huge success raising over $250,000. The Silicon Valley Pig Jig has since become an annual tradition, and to date has raised over $1.8 million in support of NephCure Kidney International. If you would like to join us on October 7, 2023 to support all those that suffer from Nephrotic Syndrome, please contact us at siliconvalleypigjig.com or visit our Sponsorship page.
